Jing Wei lives and works in Brooklyn, NY, and her works echo hand made while at the same time, captures interesting compositions and colors. She has an entry into the Giant Robot 2 Robots exhibition that’s untitled and in an edition of 4 below. We have the artists proof (AP) Take a look at it’s specs here. Evah Fan’s (pictured at right with kozy from kozyndan) work was on the walls of GR2 as a solo show called Bacon Powder in 2006, she’s since grown in her art, and now lives overseas in Sweden with her husband and artist Brendan Monroe. Fan’s piece pictured below, Smooth Criminal Dance Tryout is part of GR2 Art show: Robots.   She has a cute print called Goob available at her etsy page. And you can see another at Tiny Showcase.

This has been online for a few days, and it’s still the only photo that we’ve seen of Obama’s Fried Chicken. Is it really a a chicken place, or just a cheap cloth banner art project? We don’t know and it seems like no one knows as it’s just this one photo circulating on the web. Maybe it’s Chinese graf doing it’s job. Why not shoot just a little lower and show more? Lucy Liu, actress is now painting. She’s already shown under her other name Yu Ling – which for you Chinese fanatics, is the Pinyin spelling of her name, but now it’s all out. They’ve merged into one. She’s having an exhibition at Salon Vert in London and it’s Chinese calligraphy inspired. If you so inclined a publisher printed a book and you can see a few images of it here. The additional image is from a previous work and it appears to be a stringed ginseng root. Liu’s styles range if you look at the body of work. It goes from sculpture to straight paintings to calligraphy. There’s an extended article at the link ahead. (thisislondon – Lucy Liu)
