Giant Robot Store and GR2 News

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Game Night 11 at Giant Robot 2 Game Night 11 – I Wanna Be The Guy Gaiden and Walker Saturday, October 20th 2012, 6:30 – 10:00 p.m. Giant Robot 2 2062 Sawtelle Blvd.Los Angeles, CA 90025 gr2.net (310) 445-9276 In conjunction with Meat Bun Apparel, Angry Bananas, and Giant Robot, we are proud to host Game Night 11, an event that takes place at GR2 about every two months. This episode of Game Night will feature two indie games. From the creators themselves, here’s a capsule description!   I Wanna Be The Guy Gaiden by Michael “Kayin” O’Reilly I Wanna Be The Guy: Gaiden is the sequel to most difficult game sensation I Wanna Be The Guy. A platformer that takes sprites from games of your childhood memories – and you may not have seen this one coming – kills you with them. And Walker By Blake Fix An impressively large platformer with beautiful sprite art, a whimsical sense of humour and a single-button control system. Playing as the titular Walker, you embark on a grand quest to… walk somewhere, in a mostly forwards/rightwards direction! And jump on stuff!   Giant Robot was born as a Los Angeles-based publication about Asian, Asian-American, and new hybrid culture in 1994, but has evolved into a full-service pop culture provider with shops and galleries in Los Angeles. Game Night 11 will take place on Saturday, October 20th 2012, 6:30 – 10:00 p.m. For more information about Game Night, GR2, or Giant Robot magazine, please contact: Eric Nakamura Giant Robot Owner/Publisher eric@giantrobot.com (310) 479-7311
