It’s not the actual poo. We thought we’d break that to you, but the nutrients from the panda excrement is being used as fertilizer for a special tea that definitely soaks in the goodness from the panda’s diet. It’s said that panda only digest 30% of what they’re eating, so the excrement is actually filled with nutrients. An Yanshi, below bought 11 tons of feces from the ass of a panda and is growing this specialty tea. What do panda’s eat? Bamboo! What’s Bamboo associated with? Long Life. It all comes at a price. $35,000 for 18 ounces and might be a hit with someone in China… it’s higher than the high priced Kopi Luwak which are made from coffee beans passed through the digestive tract of an Asian Civet (cat like animal). South Korean pro mens golfers have slowly made it out of the shadows of “here today, gone tomorrow” as we’ve seen with plenty of faces who pop out like a turtle’s head. In 2012, there’s 11 male professionals following the “Seoul Sisters” who have near dominated professional golf. From the NY Times, “At a time when South Koreans had scant confidence in their economic might, Pak became a sport’s gold standard. Led by her 25 tour victories, South Koreans have won 101 L.P.G.A. titles since 1998, including four of the last seven United States Women’s Opens. This year, 42 of the L.P.G.A.’s 128 international players are from South Korea, which has fewer golf courses than South Florida.” Aside the well known KJ Choi are many including a youngster, Seung-Yul Noh, who at 20 is a rising star. At 41, KJ Choi isn’t the lone Korean male, although he was the pioneer who opened the doors to the possible dream. It’s amazing to see how one ethnicity can push into a certain pro sports field and actually have it take root. (NY Times – Korean Pro Golf)

On Saturday night, the HUF warehouse hosted a reception for the singly named Haroshi. But the Tokyo sculptor isn’t some poseur who simply paints on skateboards or appropriates the culture for street cred. Probably the smoothness, too, although rent-a-cops were stationed to keep guests from fondling the art.

She looks like a person that’s straight out of Carnival in Brazil, but she’s actually a super hero kind of. She doesn’t fight crime, but she feeds the homeless. Evidently she’s either a take off or is the same person as one who performed a similar stunt in Hong Kong, “The Red Bud Woman”. She appeared in Beijing during the holidays. An art project? A publicity stunt? Where will she appear next? (China Hush – Red Bud Woman)
