Takashi Murakami Goods Arrive and Big Boi Opens Today

It's been slow at the shops now that the rain and the cold have come through Los Angeles. Today, we received some Murakami prints (The White Lotus Flower) which are awesome and a huge mix of goods: Plush, stickers, pins, and more. Their packing is always amazing and yes we pay for it.  Today Big Boi Filipino Restaurant Opens. It's the soft launch and they are on point. Try their Sinigang, pandesal, and that sausage! It's at the old Asahi Ramen space. That's Barb and Kurt who also run B Sweet. I might be their best customer up to this point.

Sawtelle and Giant Robot in The Japan Times - Sawtelle Japantown: A return to one’s roots?

The Japan Times did some coverage of the Sawtelle area and its changing times - and if you're paying attention, Sawtelle is plowing ahead into an unknown future.
