Giant Robot Store and GR2 News

It’s called Hal? Imagine the horror if these had a mind of their own. Gladly there’s no Skynet that they’re connected to, right? Japan is to build robots to help in disasters. They’ll be three types including: exoskeleton outfits that give more strength, assuming that stamina shouldn’t be a problem although it’s power source is what? Underwater rescue which can aid but that needs to be deployed quickly, and rubble moving in case of another earthquake happens. It’s five years out and perhaps it’ll really happen.   This logo was spread just a bit after Steve Jobs died. The guy behind it, is it really the guy in the photo? The truth is the fella who created it, did it without knowing about the already made logo. He’s quite open about communicating it, etc, but in the end, it’s all been done more than once before. The fella behind it named Jonathan Mak lives in Hong Kong and is 19 years old. It turns out the logo was done earlier by Chris Thornley, and you can see his at the link. Now, she speaks English without issues and is busy exploring her comics and artwork. For GR2′s Robots exhibition, we have original pages of a special Japanese edition of Pure Trance. They’re all drawn by hand with some Zipatone added for shading. We have some of these pages available here.

It’s no joking matter and there’s been no release just yet of what was in those containers. But the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about what could be in the jars? Parts of a Flux Capacitor? Is this where Marty and his overpriced Nikes are hiding?     Or… what else is in jars that causes a stir when it’s found? Is it the age old culprit, kimchee? Japan has it’s own share of potent pickled items that can sit for decades and regardless of where you are in the world, Korean Kimchee always wins. We’ll tell you when we find out what it really is. (CNN – Setagaya)
