I put it all together and get them all up. James Kochalka’s interview with Martin as the host as part of his Little Paintings 3 art exhibition at GR2. He played music live, and that “concert” video that’s in four parts because it’s about 16 minutes total. Watch one, watch them all. He came all the way to LA from Burlington, Vermont! Here’s a link to his art! James explains what he’s painting, especially the new works that depicts the rich and wealthy people’s cats. The Dragon Puncher! I swear this guy should MC. Giant Robot is proud to present Our Finest Hour, an art show by Jen Corace. Jen Corace is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design who lives and works in Providence. Corace’s work, which typically features young females, a subtle color palette, and a timeless quality, celebrates not nostalgia but the youthful moment itself. Corace has shown in galleries around the world including Tokyo, Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, and Portland, and has also provided illustrations for The Portland Mercury, Chronicle Books, and other commercial clients. She is currently working on a new children’s book. Our Finest Hour will feature more than 50 4×6″ framed portraits by the artist. A reception for Corace will be held from 6:30-10:00 on Saturday, November 15. I know the last post that helps out Ed Templeton is on the same day as the GR2 show, I would definitely implore you to check this show out first or after. Maybe just come and hang out. You'll get a chance to meet James Kochalka. He's not in LA often, and he's going to be here with his art pieces which are great. We've seen tons of these pieces while set up across from him at Top Shelf at Comicon....
